About the Tai Chi Style We Offer Long Beach, Lakewood, and Surrounding Areas

At the School of Healing Martial Arts, we teach and practice Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan form set 24. This is the Chinese national workout, as well as the most popular Tai Chi style practiced worldwide. This class is great for beginners as well as for people with Tai Chi Chuan experience. The is a Free community service class. Everyone is welcome including children and seniors. We are now including the famous 8-Brocades (Ba Duan Jin) Qi Gong exercises in our warm up section. Also, we are teaching Tai Chi Chuan weapons forms including sword and fan.

Recommendations:
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes. Practicing barefoot is optional for those that want to strengthen their connection/ground to the Earth. You may also view the form that we teach by clicking here.

Our Long Beach Tai Chi Class:
We offer free Tai Chi Chuan classes in Long Beach, California, on Sundays, 9:30 am to 10:30 am, at Hilltop Park, 2351 Dawson Avenue, Signal Hill, California. No RSVP required.

Our Watts Tower and Art Center Tai Chi Class:
We also offer classes at the Watts Towers and Art Center, 1761-1765 East 107th Street, Los Angeles, CA (on the grass next to the Watts Towers). This is a “mini-Tai Chi class” and offered Thursdays and Fridays (from 9:15 am to 9:45 am) at no charge. No RSVP required. Parking is on the side parking lot or street.
